Sakura Soh, a popular Singaporean DJ known for her edgy tattoos and vibrant stage presence, has made a stunning career pivot—officially debuting as an adult video (AV) actress in Japan. The unexpected move has sparked widespread discussion online and within entertainment circles across Asia.

In a recent interview, Sakura revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic played a pivotal role in reshaping her career. “Nightclubs in Singapore shut down for two years,” she said. “That forced me to reflect deeply on my future and eventually led me to explore OnlyFans. From there, the desire to perform in adult films grew stronger.”

Surprisingly candid, Sakura admitted: “I’ve loved watching Japanese adult videos since I was young—this has always been on my bucket list.” So when a Japanese production company approached her with an offer, she accepted without hesitation. “The opportunity came, and I jumped at it,” she shared with a smile.

To prepare for her AV debut, Sakura underwent rigorous training, traveling back and forth between Singapore and Japan. She studied acting techniques, camera dynamics, and performance expression to ensure she could deliver a convincing and genuine portrayal. “I want viewers to see my real effort and passion on screen,” she emphasized.

In a bold aesthetic transformation, Sakura concealed her signature tattoos using makeup and special effects for her debut film, adopting a more innocent and conventional look. “It’s a big change for me,” she noted, “but I wanted to challenge people’s expectations and show another side of who I am.”

According to reports, this collaboration marks the start of a long-term venture, with Sakura set to release multiple themed series targeting the Japanese and wider Asian markets. Despite her new path, she confirmed that her DJ career isn’t over: “I’m not quitting! I’m planning a world tour in 2026. This is just another chapter in my life.”

Sakura’s transition from DJ decks to AV screens is undoubtedly controversial, but she embraces it with confidence and clarity, determined to break stereotypes and live life unapologetically.
