Seulgi

Introduction

Kang Seulgi, known professionally as Seulgi, is a South Korean singer, dancer, and songwriter under SM Entertainment. She is best known as the main dancer and lead vocalist of the Kpop girl group Red Velvet and a member of its sub-unit Red Velvet – Irene & Seulgi.

Seulgi joined SM Entertainment as a trainee in 2007 and was introduced to the public in 2013 through the pre-debut project SM Rookies. She officially debuted with Red Velvet on August 1, 2014. In July 2020, she and Irene formed the group’s first sub-unit, releasing the mini album “Monster.”

In January 2022, Seulgi joined GOT the Beat, a unit under Girls On Top, a rotating supergroup of female SM Entertainment artists. Later that year, on October 4, 2022, she made her solo debut with the mini album “28 Reasons,” becoming the third Red Velvet member to release a solo project.
