Kim Chaewon is a South Korean singer-songwriter, composer and dancer under Source Music. She is best known as the leader of the girl group LE SSERAFIM.
She debuted as the lead vocalist and lead dancer of the project girl group IZ*ONE with 238,192 votes, earning her a spot in the group. on October 29, 2018, with their first mini album “COLOR*IZ”. On April 29, 2021, IZ*ONE disbanded after their contract of two years and six months ended.
On March 14, 2022, it was announced that Chaewon and IZ*ONE’s former groupmate Sakura had officially signed to Source Music and would be debuting in their upcoming girl group LE SSERAFIM. On May 2, The group officially debuted with their first mini album “FEARLESS”.
