Kim Jisoo is a South Korean singer-songwriter, actress, and model currently represented by her independent label BLISSOO. She is widely recognized as a member of the global kpop girl group BLACKPINK, where she serves as the oldest member, a lead vocalist, and the group’s visual. Jisoo first debuted with BLACKPINK under YG Entertainment on August 8, 2016, gaining international acclaim for her performance and presence.
Even before her official debut, Jisoo attracted public attention through modeling campaigns and acting appearances. As a trainee, she featured in several advertisements and television cameos. Notably, she appeared in music videos such as “Spoiler” by EPIK High and “I’m Different” by Hi Suhyun, building her pre-debut reputation and expanding her fan base.
In addition to her music career, Jisoo demonstrated her versatility by making her acting debut as the female lead in the JTBC drama Snowdrop in 2021. Her performance was praised for its emotional depth and marked a successful transition into acting, further solidifying her as a multi-talented entertainer.
Jisoo began her solo music career with the release of her debut single album “ME” on March 31, 2023. The album was met with strong commercial success, resonating with fans globally and showcasing her distinct vocal color and musical identity.
Although she chose not to renew her solo contract with YG Entertainment, Jisoo remains an active member of BLACKPINK. On February 21, 2024, she launched her independent agency, BLISSOO, to oversee her individual projects in music, acting, and fashion, allowing her greater creative control over her solo endeavors.
In 2025, she released the EP Amortage and its single “Earthquake”, which became her first number one on the US Billboard World Digital Songs chart.
