Choi Ye-won, popularly known as Arin, is a South Korean singer and actress under ATRP, best known as a member of the girl group OH MY GIRL. She debuted on April 20, 2015, with the release of the group’s self-titled mini album and gained recognition as the group’s lead dancer and youngest member. In 2018, she joined the sub-unit OH MY GIRL BANHANA and participated in the release of the special album “Banana Allergy Monkey.”
Arin began expanding her career into acting in 2020 with her role as Oh Na-ri in the Naver TV web drama “The World of My 17.” She continued her acting work by appearing in the Netflix horror anthology “Urban Myths” and was later cast in the popular tvN fantasy drama “Alchemy of Souls” in 2022. In 2023, she starred in the short-form romance drama “Summer Love Machine Blues.”
Between 2020 and 2021, Arin gained further public attention as a co-host of Music Bank, one of South Korea’s leading music programs, alongside Choi Soo-bin of TXT. She also appeared in the competitive music show “Queendom,” showcasing her group’s performance versatility.
Aside from her entertainment career, Arin is active in philanthropy. Her donations have supported elderly welfare, young adults from foster care, and environmental causes. Notable contributions include her repeated partnerships with The Beautiful Foundation and campaigns with Clarins and World Vision.
Arin has also established herself in the commercial space. She has represented major brands such as Clarins, BYC, and Kumbokju, and has participated in collaborative promotions like Pepsi’s “Blue & Black” campaign. She was also named a promotional ambassador for Busan’s Expo 2030 bid and endorsed the mobile game “Luna: Moonlight Chronicles.”
