Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua will release their new digital single “Mono (Feat. Skaiwater)” through various music sites at 6 p.m. on the 27th and begin their first full-length activities this year.
“Mono (Feat. Skaiwater)” is a song that expresses the message of listening to one’s essence more away from the eyes of others through children’s own musical speech. Some of the previously released minimal sound and sophisticated visuals piqued the curiosity of listeners at home and abroad, and the music video teaser proved its popularity even before its release, ranking at the top of the Chinese music platform QQ Music Korean music video chart.
The new song is also impressive, as the children collaborated with outside artists for the first time since their debut in a group song. British rapper Skaiwater, who has an addictive tone, will participate in the feature to show new musical synergy with children.
In the third concept photo released prior to the release of the song, the photo of each member of the monotone and their hands holding each other conveyed the meaning of the song. The music video is expected to contain dynamic performances with Mega Crew and provide a more intense visual beauty.

Q. Please explain what kind of song “Mono (Feat. Skaiwater)” is and what the main point is to listen to.
Minnie: It’s about focusing on the essence without all the effects. I hope you focus on the addictive melody and good lyrics.
Soyeon: It’s a minimalist and child-like song. I think it would be nice if you focused on the styling that only kids can do, and the vocals that only kids can do. The lyrics are also very attractive.
Shuhua: It’s probably just what I feel because it’s not complicated. I think it’ll be a song that can be conveyed even if I don’t explain it in words.
Q. How do you feel about doing group activities in Korea after a long time since last year’s 8th mini album “We are”?
Miyeon: I’m excited and looking forward to it. We hope that 2026 will be a year where we can show you many performances and great music!
Minnie: I’m so excited, and I can’t wait to play this great song at Neverland. We worked hard on the performance, so I hope you enjoy it.
Yuqi: I’m so excited! I’ll work hard. I hope it works out well. It’s a great song and a great concept.
Q. What did you pay the most attention to while preparing “Mono (Feat. Skaiwater)?
Miyeon: As it’s a minimalist song, I thought more focused visuals and vocals were important, so I was going to pay more attention to this part.
Minnie: I remember constantly revising and recording parts until the voice that suits me the most. We all worked hard on the performance, and I got rid of the bangs and changed the visuals. I worked out hard, too.
Soyeon: They usually performed colorful songs as the title song, but this time they challenged themselves to a new minimalist song.
Yuqi: We prepared a different style of performance than before. There are a lot of parts where I have to work really well with the dancers, so I practiced hard!
Shuhua: I think I paid a lot of attention to pronunciation so that the meaning of the lyrics in English could be conveyed well.
Q. Rapper “Skaiwater,” who has recently attracted attention from overseas hip-hop scene, participated in the feature, what kind of chemistry do you expect?
Soyeon: I thought that Skaiwater’s unbiased clothing style and lyrics were very compatible with the kids. I hope it will be great music.
Q. Is there a memorable episode and something you should not miss while shooting the music video for “Mono (Feat. Skaiwater)?
Miyeon: I really enjoyed the process of collaborating with the dancers. Thanks to you guys for a lot of filming; we felt like a team. I really appreciate it.
Minnie: We filmed it with foreign dancers and they were all so unique and cute. One of them was Thai, so I made a new friend. Every scene from start to finish is a point you can’t miss!
Soyeon: I hope you can see our movements and what’s being expressed in the black and white colorless screen.
Yuqi: It was fun filming it because I felt like I was dancing while using my body for the first time in a while. The music and the music video are very minimalistic, but I personally loved it.
Shuhua: The members will come out in the middle of the Mega Crew performance section, so don’t miss it and make sure to find it!
Q. How do you feel about your fourth world tour, starting with the concert in Seoul in February?
Soyeon: We’re working really hard on our world tour. We’re going to show you a very different nuance and performance than our previous concerts. We’ve arranged all the songs. I hope many of you come.
