actress Lee Sun-bin calmly responded to a sudden marriage question without showing any signs of embarrassment.
On the 30th, the 2025 MBC Acting Awards were held at the MBC Media Center public hall in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The ceremony was hosted by broadcaster Kim Sung-joo and Lee Sun-bin.
That day, actor Jo Jae-yoon took the stage to present the supporting actor/actress awards. She greeted the audience by saying, “Hello, nice to meet you. I’m Jo Jae-yoon,” while bowing deeply. She then exchanged pleasantries with the hosts to lighten the mood before announcing the award.
Jo Jae-yoon told Kim Sung-joo, “Sung-joo hyung, I hope you receive lots of blessings in the new year,” to which Kim replied, “I hope the same for you.”
Turning to Lee Sun-bin, she said, “If Sun-bin gets married, please invite me.” This was a reference to Lee Sun-bin’s ongoing public relationship with actor Lee Kwang-soo, now in its 8th year.
Despite the sudden comment, Lee Sun-bin responded without hesitation, “Yes, yes. Of course,” while smiling brightly. Jo Jae-yoon reciprocated with a “Thank you,” and the audience burst into laughter.
Jo Jae-yoon shared, “I received a supporting award here last year, and standing here again feels nostalgic. Last year, it wasn’t a live broadcast, but this year’s live broadcast makes me both nervous and excited.” The supporting actor/actress awards went to Kim Nam-hee for her role in the drama The Moon Flows in This River and Kim Shin-rock for Undercover High School.
Lee Sun-bin previously drew attention for her “moment as Lee Kwang-soo’s lover” at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards last month.
At the time, Lee Kwang-soo and actor Kim Woo-bin were onstage as presenters for the Best Director Award. The broadcast camera zoomed in on Lee Sun-bin, his partner, who playfully framed her hands like a telescope, pretending to watch him. The audience erupted in laughter, while Lee Kwang-soo shyly covered his face with a cue card. Lee Sun-bin laughed heartily and repeated the telescope gesture, appearing to focus on Lee Kwang-soo again.
Lee Sun-bin and Lee Kwang-soo are one of the entertainment industry’s most iconic “long-standing couples.” They first met through the SBS show Running Man in 2016, developed a relationship, and publicly acknowledged their romance in 2018, continuing their open relationship ever since.
