All five NewJeans members have decided to return after a dispute over exclusive contracts with their agency, ADOR. In other words, the conflict that has lasted for more than a year has ended.

“Haerin and Hyein have expressed their intention to continue their activities together,” ADOR said on the 12th. “After sufficient discussion, we decided to respect the court ruling and keep the contract.” “We will support the two members to work smoothly,” ADOR said.

Immediately after the news of Haerin and Hyein‘s return, Minji, Hanni, and Danielle also made a separate statement, saying, “After careful consultation, we decided to return to ADOR.” The three added, “One member was in the Antarctica, so we were late to communicate, but we will repay you with sincere music.” ADOR said it is confirming the three members’ intention to return.

After CEO Min Hee-jin’s resignation in November 2024, NewJeans experienced conflict with ADOR. They announced the termination of the exclusive contract and announced their own activities, but ADOR filed a lawsuit with the court to verify the validity of the exclusive contract. After that, the decision of provisional injunction, mediation process, and first trial ruling were continued, but in the end, all members chose to return to the agency one day before the deadline for appeal.
