Recently, the famous British fashion magazine ELLE UK has been a racist drama issue involving Rosé of BLACKPINK.

On October 2, ELLE UK posted a single Rosé on social media with the caption “The most standout look courtesy of Blackpink star Rosé” or “The most notable look from Rosé BLACKPINK.”

Rosé also posted a photo from her Instagram fashion show and thanked Saint Laurent’s creative director Anthony Vacarello:

“Thank you for inviting me to such a wonderful event. Your work is really beautiful. I love it. ”

How? However, fans around the world are still upset and comment on ELLE UK’s posts that “It’s too late” and “I should come out and apologize.” Some even point out that this is racism.

The drama is not only limited to ELLE UK, but also spread to popular singer Charlie XCX and model Hailey Bieber. On October 1, Hailey shared a post from Charlie XCX on IG Story, in which Rosé was visibly tanned.

Rosé, as a world-class Ambassador for Saint Laurent 2026 S/S Women’s Collection Show in Paris on September 30, sat in Front Row alongside Charlie XX, Hailey Bieber and Hollywood actor Zoë Kravitz, but ELLE UK’s post cut only three of Rose.

This action is very upsetting. Fans in Korea, Asia and around the world are criticizing it as “racist act.” and calling on fashion media and related celebrities to take responsibility. In addition, Charlie XCX was further criticized after Vogue Japan released a video of her turning her back on Rosé while talking to the other two. And in her self-portrait, Rosé was made darker than anyone else.

This incident has rekindled the debate over “representation” and “racial prejudice” in the global fashion and media scene. Fans insist that they will not stop demanding justice for Rosé.
