WOOAH’s Lucy has found herself at the center of controversy after a series of alleged private messages were leaked online, sparking heated discussions among fans.
The initial leak came from an X account, which shared screenshots and a video that allegedly showed Lucy vaping. More than the video, however, the focus quickly shifted to the content of the supposed messages. In them, Lucy reportedly expressed frustration with idol life, revealing that she no longer wished to be part of the group.
According to the leaks, she allegedly wrote: “Aren’t you getting it? I clearly said I don’t want to do this anymore. I want this group to disband. There’s no affection, and I don’t even like the fans. So why should I make any effort?” In further messages, she expressed no desire to meet fan expectations, admitting that she was stressed and had lost motivation.
The controversy deepened when more alleged messages surfaced, this time targeting her fellow members. Lucy was reported to have spoken negatively about certain groupmates, naming Wooyeon and Sora specifically, while suggesting that those with the “best image” were actually the “most problematic.” She also implied that all the members privately wished for the group to disband.
One message read: “How am I supposed to keep living in the dorm with these people? I do want us to disband. No one here wants to keep the group going. LOL.”
Fans have been divided in their reactions. Some sympathize with Lucy, speculating that her comments reflect frustration with her agency and the pressures of idol life. Others, however, have expressed disappointment and anger, feeling betrayed by her alleged words toward both fans and fellow members.
As of now, WOOAH’s agency has not issued an official statement regarding the controversy, leaving the fandom in uncertainty.
