Wendy

Introduction

Son Seung-wan, known professionally as Wendy, is a South Korean singer under ASND. She is best known as a member of the Kpop girl group Red Velvet and has established herself as a solo artist, radio host, and musical actress.

Wendy debuted with Red Velvet on August 1, 2014. She later launched her solo career with the mini album “Like Water” on April 5, 2021, becoming the first Red Velvet member to release a solo album. In January 2022, she joined GOT the Beat, a unit under the Girls On Top project, alongside other SM Entertainment artists.

Beyond music, Wendy has been active in television and radio. She has appeared on variety shows like We Got Married (2015–2016) and Trick & True (2016–2017) and was a cast member on Saturday Night Live Korea (2021). She also hosted Mysterious Record Shop (2021) and the radio program Wendy’s Youngstreet (2021–2023). In 2023, she made her theatrical debut in the musical Rebecca.

On April 4th, 2025, SM Entertainment announced that Wendy, along with Yeri, won’t be renewing their contracts but they will continue as members of Red Velvet.
