Introduction

Lalisa Manobal, popularly known as Lisa, is a Thai rapper, singer, dancer, and actress under LLOUD and RCA Records. She gained international fame as a member of the South Korean girl group BLACKPINK, debuting under YG Entertainment in August 2016. Lisa is widely recognized as the main dancer, lead rapper, and the youngest (maknae) member of the group, making her one of the most influential figures in kpop.

Lisa’s journey to stardom began in Thailand, where she developed a passion for dance from an early age. She joined the dance crew “We Zaa Cool,” where she became close friends with GOT7’s Bambam. In 2010, she became the only person accepted in YG Entertainment’s Thailand Audition, marking the beginning of her career in the Korean entertainment industry. After years of training in Korea, she debuted with BLACKPINK in 2016 and quickly rose to fame, contributing to the group’s worldwide success.

In September 2021, Lisa made her solo debut with the single album “LALISA,” which set several records, including being the first female artist to sell over 736,000 copies in its first week in South Korea. The music video for the title track became the most-viewed solo artist video in its first 24 hours on YouTube. Both “Lalisa” and the viral track “Money” reached significant milestones, with “Money” becoming the longest-charting song by a female kpop soloist on the Billboard Hot 100.

Lisa continued to break records with her solo career, becoming the first kpop solo artist to achieve one billion streams on Spotify with both her album “LALISA” and the song “Money.” In 2024, Lisa launched her own management company, LLOUD, and signed with RCA Records. The following year, she released her debut studio album “Alter Ego” and achieved her first number-one single on the Billboard Global Excl. US with the song “Rockstar.”

Throughout her career, Lisa has received numerous accolades, including nine Guinness World Records, a Gaon Chart Music Award, and several MTV awards. She became the first kpop soloist to win at both the MTV Europe Music Awards and MTV Video Music Awards. Lisa is also recognized as the most-followed kpop artist on Instagram and the most-followed female kpop soloist on Spotify. Additionally, she has been honored as a cultural ambassador by the Thai government for her contributions to globalizing Thai culture.
